The first long post….is always the most difficult….

So far its been little, snappy posts to build some content, and test out the template. I’ve also been using a mobile phone a lot to post little thoughts in the moment, rather than waiting.

But sometimes, you can’t beat, just sitting down and using a real keyboard. It makes a difference, honest it does. Now, for this post, sat on the sofa, using a laptop (chromebook) to post something longer.

I’ve got not great plans for this, some its just random thoughts and ideas as I have them. But there is a real reason for writing stuff down. Not just because I forget, but because life goes on and changes. And, I am about to embark on another life change, and a biggy. Kind of.

So old and fat as I am, life caught up with me, and diabetes etc mugged me. Life changes made, and blood control is all good. But then they check for more things and they find more, add some blood pressure in and there you go. It’s said many times, be healthy, eat less, exercise more, it will all help. That’s easy said than done. Life is hard, life moves, there are curve balls all the time, and its healthy living thats the first out the door.

Now, there is an instant argument of a curve ball means opportunity and learned behaviours should get you through, but that’s complex and hard. So a change is a coming.

Working with the diabetic team at the hospital as the GP service couldn’t help – pesky NICE guidance said no. About to change to injections for diabetic control and the side effect should be weight loss. Fat jabs incoming.

The nurse said it best, its the expensive option at the start but if it improves life, and reduces risks its well worth it. So, I’ve done my research and reading, and will give it a go. On its own though, I know its not enough, so more healthy living is needed. Better food and exercise.

Time will tell.

Enough for now.
